No less then 7 classic Saabs is on Bilweb Auction´s first listing in May. Here are a few of the highlights:
Saab 96 Sport, 1962
A very nice Sport that has been in the same family since the Sixties. Restored during the 80s and 90s and driven very sparingly since then. Now in a lovely patinated condition and periodically correct. Saab Sport was a car for drivers that wanted more horsepower, a sportier instrumentation and a cooler exterior compared with a standard Saab 96. The 841cc engine had three Solex carburetors, one for each cylinder. The result was 52 horsepower, 14 more than an ordinary 96. Gearbox: 4-speed instead of 3. Exterior wise it was the twin chrome trim on the lower body, the extra lights and special hub cabs that gave away that this Saab was a Sport. A steering wheel in wood and the round, sporty instruments, including a rev counter, completed the experience of a Swedish sports sedan.
The car in the auction has an estimated value of between 300 000 and 350 000 SEK
Saab Sonett II V4, 1968
This model year, 1968, Saab’s charming sports car got the V4 engine from Ford and abandoned the 2-stroke strategy. In order to create space for the bigger engine, the design department had to create a significant bulge on the hood. This Sonett underwent a full restoration by its former owner from 2008 until 2013, Since then its has been driven approximately 9000 kilometers. The restoration is carefully documented on an USB stick that comes with the car. The present owner has owned the car since 2013. 899 Sonett II was manufactured model year ´68 and this car is number 550.
Bilweb Auctions estimates the value to between 220 000 and 260 000 SEK.

Saab 9-3 Aero Turbo 4, 2014
A very rare Saab, one of only 421 made by NEVS - National Electric Vehicle Sweden - after their takeover of the Saab bankruptcy estate in 2012. The rights to the 9-3 was part of the estate and production started in late 2013 - but lasted only 5 months. The last 9-3s were made in silver or black metallic, manual or automatic. This example was manufactured in April 2014 and one of 204 with the combination black/automatic. It was not registered by NEVS until February 2015. In April that year it was bought by its first and only owner. With only 2970 kilometers on the lock, it has obviously lived a very quiet life and is close to as-new condition. This is an unique opportunity to own one of the newest Saabs in the world.
Bilweb Auction estimates to value to between 340 000 and 380 000 SEK.
