Three Executive Volvos for sale on Januari Auction 2023

Executive was the name Volvo chose for its most prestigious models, intended for top managers and limousine companies. Now there are no less than three Volvo Executive for sale on Bilweb Auctions - an opportunity to travel in style!

The oldest of the three Executives on Bilweb Auctions is a 1997 S90, a name change of the 960 that year. The S90 Executive is not extended, but can be recognized by the cover on the rear quarter windows and an emblem that resembles a royal crown.

Most of the Executive details, however, can be found inside the car, especially since the auction car is the most luxurious version, ”a ”Level III”, often named Royal on export markets.

This Royal is fully focused on the well being of the passengers in the rear seats. They can enjoy separate leather seats, a small refrigerator, a fax/printer, an Ericsson T28 and an AC for the rear only. The leather is of extra high quality and acres of walnut veneer increases the feeling of luxury. Volos inline 3-litre six resides under the hood and develops 204 horse power supported by an automatic gearbox.

The auction car has covered 189 000 kilometers and recently got a full respray in the original color. Bilweb Auctions has estimated the value of the car to between 250 000 and 275 000 SEK.

The second Volvo Executive in the auction is a 2002 T6, which has been driven 120 000 kilometers with its twin-turbo, 272 horsepower, inline six. The first owner was one of Sweden’s most infamous businessmen, Refaat El-Sayed. He bought the car after having served a prison sentence for fraud.

Apart from the provenance, this S80 Executive is equipped with luxury details as a refrigerator, crystal glasses, a TV/DVD system and an Ericsson phone with a secrecy hand set.

It is very well presented, and the value is estimated to between 140 000 and 170 000 SEK.

The most recent of the three Volvo Executives is a 2010 S80 with AWD and Volvos probably best engine ever, the 4.4 litre, 315 horsepower, V8.

This engine was initially installed in the company’s SUV, the XC90, in order to satisfy the US market. Volvo needed a V8 that could be mounted transversely in the engine bay, so it wouldn’t have a negative impact on crash safety. Volvo found a suitable engine at Yamaha, with only a 60-degree angle between the cylinder banks. It was further developed and adapted by Volvo´s engineers and the result was a Swedish V8 that combined power, drivability and reliability.

In 2006 this V8 was installed in the S80 and now Volvo had a prestige sedan the company hadn’t been able to offer before. The engine is a perfect fit in a car like the S80 Executive.

The car has covered approximately 300 000 kilometers but has been regularly serviced. Substantial amount of money has recently been put into parts and upgrades.

Bilweb Auctions has estimated the value of the car to between 170 000 and 200 000 SEK.
