While world economy is hit by pan-epidemic we still see great interest for classic cars. Alternative and fun investments.
– The interest was high in Mars during our last classic car auction and for our upcoming spring auction we have hundreds of classics on the auction list. Many of them unique and rare objects with great history, says Michael Luft on Bilweb Auctions
One of the finest cars is a Jaguar E-type cabriolet Serie 1 from 1967 appraised to over 900 000 SEK. We also have a BMW 2000 CS from 1969 in a rear original condition. Among the cars from America we have a Ford Edsel Cabriolet from 1958 – a strange car from the 50s with a wonderful sound from its V8.
My personal favorite is the Opel Rekord Coupé from 1966. It was only produced for one year and this car is in a rear un renovated condition with only 67 000 km on the clock, says Michael Luft
This Opel was sold new to o family in Åmål in Sweden by the local Opel-Saab dealer ship in 1966. It has only been used for cruises and special occasions and has been treated well over the years stored in a warm garage. Last year the same dealer in Åmål bought it back from the first owners family.
