The ”Split Window” from 1951 was the apple of the eye for the Volkswagen dealer in Vetlanda until 1997. After that it has been one of the finest classics at the Volkswagen Museum in Pålsboda.
The Volkswagen 1600 L ”notchback” is a unique car for Volkswagen collectors. 1967 is the best model year with bigger engine and several improvements but still with its old and beautiful looks. The auction car is also a “Model L” as in Luxury. This car was only used the six first years before getting stored. Then with only 30 000 kilometers on the clock.
