The car is stunning. One of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. Even when standing still, it appears to be travelling at 100 mph. The lines are so lively that you never get tired of gazing at them. Designers at the time did not have to contend with thousands of legal and safety constraints. They were given unlimited creative freedom. The streamlined shape produced low air resistance, allowing it to cut through the air at high speeds, and it was for this reason that this amazing design was conceived.

This Derby-Bentley with a "Streamline body" by Park Ward was advertised by Jack Barclay in London. It is a forerunner in the automotive industry for streamlined shape. It won first place in the Concour de Charme competition in Bournemouth in 1934.
The car was imported to Sweden in 1982. Its third owner is now selling the car he has owned for over 23 years. It was repainted in its original white color and serviced by a Rolls Royce and Bentley specialist in central Sweden throughout this time.

Model Specifics
Rolls-Royce bought Bentley Motors in 1931. Two years later, a fully new Bentley based on Rolls-Royce technology was unveiled. They intended to develop a sportier, slightly smaller vehicle than the factory's other models. It would provide good performance while being quiet and comfortable. The engine was based on a six-cylinder Rolls-Royce engine that produced 110 horsepower. The higher gears of the gearbox were synchronized. The car was offered as a chassis, and the bodywork was purchased from respectable coach builders.

The model are commonly referred to as "Derby Bentleys" since they were produced at the Rolls-Royce factory in Derby, as opposed to the W.O automobiles produced in London. There were 2411 copies made in total. The manufacturing and advertising dubbed it "The Silent Sports Car."
