Many Porsche aficionados have discovered how cool it is to park a tractor with the same name next to their 911 Carrera or 356 Speedster.
Or maybe one don’t care about sports cars, just want to enjoy a dignified ride at 20 km/h and remove the snow in style.
 
The Porsche tractor history is a bit complicated. It started in the Thirties when Ferdinand Porsche started with the design of a ”people´s tractor” alongside with a ”people´s car”. However, no production started before the outbreak if WWII and after the war, only manufacturers with production before and during the war was allowed to continue. So Porsche licensed the manufacturing of its tractors to the German company Allgaier. The result showed up in 1950 under the name Allgaier-System Porsche.
 
In 1956 the business was taken over by Mannesman, now under the name Porsche-Diesel. Up until 1963 approximately 125 000 tractors were built.
 
The youngest tractor in the auction - that ends on 15 September - is a Porsche-Diesel AP22 from 1957.  A red piece of candy in pristine condition, fully restored during five years and ready in 2012. It features a 2-cylinder air cooled diesel engine of 1.5 liters and two very charming small benches on top of the rear wheel fenders - perfect for trips with family and friends.

The tractor is valued at between 130 000 and 160 000 SEK

To the auction: 
 
Its two older brothers is both from the Allgaier era. The first one is an AP22 from 1952, meticulously restored and finished ina glowing orange color, in indication of the it was sold as new in Sweden. All Porsche Disels exported there had this color. It is built in aluminium, which makes it unusual.

Value is estimated to between 140 000 and 160 000 SEK.

Older brother number 2 is a 1-cylinder A111 from 1953 in a very nice working condition. 12 horsepower is produces by the 800 cc diesel engine.

Value is estimated to between 60 000 and 80 000 SEK
