A French GTI favorite, an Italian V-12 grand tourer, and a British 60s model with a touch of upper-class elegance.
This week's collector car offerings at Bilweb Auctions are generous and exciting.
- "We have 35 cars on the auction list, and they have a combined estimated auction value of over 10 million SEK," says Pontus Bärnarp, CEO of Bilweb Auctions.
At the top, in terms of price, is a Ferrari 575M Maranello from 2004. The estimated value is between 1.1 and 1.3 million SEK.
The car was sold new in Sweden and has only covered 31,000 kilometers since its delivery 20 years ago. The Maranello, named after the town where Ferrari's headquarters and factory are located, has a 5.7-liter V12 engine producing 508 horsepower.
It has been off the road since 2018 but has been carefully brought back to life by Autoropa with a service that includes a timing belt replacement.
Peugeot's GTI was one of the most fun cars to drive in the late 80s and early 90s. Now, the model is a sought-after collector's classic, and last spring, Bilweb Auctions sold a very fine GTI "Le Mans" from 1991 for 319,000 SEK.
The car now being auctioned is also a 1991 model and features the 1.9-liter engine with 122 horsepower. It is an authentic "Sorrento Green Edition" and has recently undergone extensive restoration, both mechanically and aesthetically.
The value is estimated by Bilweb Auctions at between 250,000 and 270,000 SEK.
A Bentley S3 from 1963 can be said to be the absolute opposite of the Peugeot GTI. A majestic English car with a 6.2-liter V8 from the last days of the empire, sold new by Förenade Bil in Gothenburg.
The current owner has had the car since 1977.
The white color accentuates the Bentley's elegance and contrasts beautifully with the black leather interior, beautifully patinated in a way that only English leather from Connolly can achieve.
The car's value is estimated at between 500,000 and 550,000 SEK.
Italy, France, England—but in the name of European unity, we also want to mention a German auction car: a Mercedes 190 SL cabriolet from 1962, sold to a ship broker in Gothenburg in 1962 and has since always remained in the Gothenburg area.
A dream for many, estimated to be worth between 900,000 and 1 million SEK.
The auction for these cars, along with an additional 31 vehicles, ends on Thursday, September 5.
