The Nineties are calling and wants its Saab 900 Turbo Talladega back, after being driven only 630 kilometers. It is a unique low milage car on auction. Bidding starts September 23 and the auction closes September 30.

It was just before Christmas in 1997 that this car rolled off the production line at Saab in Trollhattan, Sweden. A model year 1998, finished in Cayenne red och with the special Talladega package with the front- and rear spoilers, the black side moldings, and of course, the Talladega emblem at the back.

The car was sold in Nyköping, and even though the owner rarely drove his car, he had a Step 3 tuning kit installed at the Saab tuning specialist Nordic Tuning in Norrköping, This added another 80 horsepower to the original 185 in the inline four with the help of software, a sports exhaust and a sports air filter.

The car has not been driven since 2007, standing in the garage where it has spent it’s entire Saab life. The son of the first owner has now decided to let another enthusiast take over the car.

This Saab 900 is a trip back to the late Nineties. Everything is as it was when the car left the factory - except the tuning and the special Saab Hirsch wheels that accentuates the performance profile of the car. The option package called Talladega was available just a short period of time during 1997 and 1998. It was a way for Saab to highlight the 1996 endurance test at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama, USA. Six Saab 900, right off the assembly line, was driven non stop and at full speed during 8 consecutive days, just stopping for oil- and driver changes. One of the cars, a 900 Turbo like the one on the auction, drove 25 000 kilometers with an average speed of 244 km/h. Impressive.
