A Skoda Felicia that was put away in 2001 after just 5400 kilometers - Bilweb Auctions continues to find unique cars for its classic car auctions.
In February 2001 the last batch of Skoda Felicias arrived to Sweden. The model, introduced in 1994, was about to be replaced by the Fabia. The Chief Financial Officer and the Bosus Motor dealership in Uddevalla took the opportunity to give one of the popular Czech compacts to his daughter.
However, just after a few months she decided to stop driving cars and the Felicia was stored in a heated garage. It was started and driven a few kilometers now and then, just to make sure everything was in working order. The present owner bought it in 2016 and treated the Felicia in the same way. Today the odometer reads just 5400 kilometers and despite the low milage it has 5 service stamps in the service book.
Therefore it is no surprise that the car is as new down to the smallest details. One example is the removable front of the Blaupunkt stereo, still in its original case. It is kind of unreal to see a 20 year old car almost without any trace of usage.
The Felicia name was used already in 1959 for an irresistibly charming convertible with a small 1.1-litre engine under the hood. It stayed in production until 1964 and then it took 30 years until a new Skoda was christened to Felicia.
And she is the one being auctioned on September 30.
