Description

Until 1997, this Volkswagen was the absolute jewel car of the VAG dealer in Vetlanda, and then one of the finest cars at the VW Museum in Pålsboda. Original, unmolested car in excellent condition with original paint and upholstery. Only produced on special anniversaries and saved by the VAG dealer in Vetlanda. On February 14, 1951, this early Type 1 was delivered brand new to Björnlunda. Upholstery, headliner, and carpets have all held up remarkably well over time.
This is a Swedish-sold car, which means it has more chrome "Export model". After chafing from the roof rack, the cellulose paint is still original, but with some improvements. With only minor wear on the driver's seat, the original interior is in excellent condition. The rubber on the steps has cracks in it. Three owners and 1-0279882 is the engine number. The car was built in the autumn of 1950 and put into service in February 1951, according to the chassis number. There is documentation available. When the other VW cars at the VW Museum in Pålsboda were sold in 2019, the owners saved some of the best. After all, they've decided to sell it.

Facts about the model

Under året såldes hela 8 252 bilar.
