This is the civilian version of the Tgb 11, known at the time as the Cross Country C303. When Volvo was preparing to launch its all-wheel-drive vehicle, the V70 XC, in 1997, Volvo Cars had to acquire the rights to the Cross Country name from the truck division that owned the naming rights.
