Description
The car comes with fantastic history and documentation, including an excel file detailing work carried out over the past 38 years. It has always been kept in usable condition. The car will need some bodywork repairs due to rust, particularly around the lower body, front and rear wings, sills, lower rear panels and around the windscreen. Fortunately, newer panels are available for these repairs (see pictures).
The interior has held up well and looks presentable, with only two small cracks on the dashboard panel. All gauges work, and the car runs and drives fine.

Mechanical condition
The car ran without problems during the test drive, starting easily and with decent brakes and gear shifts. It felt stable on the road. It has steel wheels, although one hubcap is missing (which is in the boot). The tires are in acceptable condition. Also included are a spare bonnet, three additional steel wheels, chrome trims, and deluxe badges (refer to the pictures).

Interior condition
Interior is clean and well-maintained for its age and mileage. The seats are generally in good condition, though the rear seat is slightly sun-bleached, and there are a few small rips in the rear vinyl behind the driver’s seat. The passenger seat has some loose stitching. The door cards and carpets are intact with only minor signs of wear, and the headliner is clean and in good shape. The dashboard has some small cracks on the top panel, but the gauges function properly (see pictures).

Exterior condition
As mentioned, the lower bodywork will need attention in the future (see pictures). The underbody shows signs of older repairs but remains generally solid with no major issues. The paintwork is presentable overall, though it does have some marks and touch-ups.

General condition
The Volvo 142 always looks better as a two-door model. Mechanically, it’s in good shape and can be driven as is, making it a great summer car. However, the bodywork will need attention, making it a perfect winter project.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
