"A good car that requires some restoration work. Need some small fix to get her up and running."

A Rover 2000 SC in useable condition, with only three owners. The interior leather has some cracks in the seams and a little rusty bodywork. The car has been garaged for around for 20 years and needs to be brought back to life with a mechanical inspection and new tires. The Rovers P6 model came in 1963 and was a very comfortable and advanced car when it was released. This is a 2000 - which means the more economical four-cylinder engine, SC means single carburetor.

Facts about the model

The first P6 used a 2.0 L (1,978 cc or 120.7 cu in) engine designed specifically for the P6. Although it was announced towards the end of 1963, the car had been in "pilot production" since the beginning of the year, therefore deliveries were able to begin immediately. Original output was in the order of 104 bhp (78 kW). At the time the engine was unusual in having an overhead camshaft layout. The cylinder head had a perfectly flat surface, and the combustion chambers were cast into the piston crowns (sometimes known as a Heron head).
