"A Vespa PX 200E in very good condition."

Description

This is a very nice and unmodified Vespa with a pleasant original red paint. It even has the color code label and delivery label still attached. Low mileage according to the meter, only 172 kilometers, and in excellent condition. It is probably one of the best original type Vespas with a manual gearbox that can be found.

The Vespa was purchased in Malmö from a Vespa dealer by an older man. He bought it for his daughter in Härnösand. The daughter had a brother who thought he was better suited for such a sharp vehicle, so the sister only used it sparingly when the brother was away. After her death, her son inherited it. The current owner bought it through an ad. This Vespa is of the finer model, fully equipped with, among other things, electric start and front and rear luggage racks. The new feeling in all functions will still be present for at least 500 kilometers, which is how far a Vespa needs to be run in.

Facts about the model

The Vespa PX was introduced in 1977 in Milan as the "nuova linea" model. The scooter was built with drum brakes, front and rear, and a single-cylinder air-cooled engine with an aluminum head and a steel frame. Over the years, it has been improved with a new front suspension and a revised rear axle for more stability.

It was marketed as the Vespa P 125 X and as the Vespa P 200 E with electronic ignition, and since 1978 as the Vespa P 150 X. The electronic ignition was also introduced on the other models, which were then called the Vespa PX125E and Vespa PX150E, and in 1982 the Vespa P 200 E was renamed the Vespa PX200E.

In 1982, the Lusso series was introduced with technical innovations. Several minor adjustments were made to the body, including increasing the size of the glove compartment, increasing the size of the rear mudguard, and a new horn grille. In addition, the front brake pads were made self-centering, the cables were changed to facilitate maintenance, and the same key was now used for ignition and steering lock.

In 1985, a sporty variant was released: the Vespa T5 Pole Position with almost 12 horsepower. In 1992, at the same time as Vespa's 50th anniversary, a scooter with the T5 engine and the PX-style body was offered. This was marketed as the Vespa PX 125 T5 Classic.
