Description

The first question any Ferrari owner—or potential owner—asks is about the service history and cambelt. I’m happy to report that this car comes with a fully stamped service book, along with an Excel file documenting all work carried out by the current owner over the past 14 years.

It was recently serviced by Ferrari specialist Von Braun, with the following items replaced: both fuel pressure regulators, the right rear wheel bearing, the cambelt, and associated oil seals. As an extra touch, the owner also had the valve covers professionally powder-coated in bright red.

A quick look through the extensive folder of receipts reveals that service and repair invoices total well over 300,000 SEK.

Originally sold by an official Ferrari dealer to Horst Lose Kamm in 1992, the car was imported to Sweden in 1997. Since then, it has had four private owners and three dealers, with each private ownership averaging 5.8 years. The current owner has kept the car for the past 14 years.

In 2012, the owner fitted a set of Ferrari 360 alloy wheels. The tyres Michelin pilot Sport 4 is recently fitted and as good as new. The original alloy wheels—complete with the original spacers—are included in undamaged condition. Also included is the original leather toolkit.

What made the 348 TS so special wasn’t just the removable roof, perfect for open-air drives, but what lay beneath: a 3.4-liter V8 with 32 valves, a flat-plane crankshaft, and quad cams delivering a thrilling 300 horsepower. The 348 introduced Ferrari’s first use of a monocoque chassis structure, borrowing ideas straight from their Formula One program. The result? A car that felt tighter, handled better, and stood out as a modern performer.

And for purists, perhaps its most defining trait: no flappy paddles or dual clutches here. The 348 was the last of its kind to offer that unmistakable Ferrari gated five-speed manual—requiring skill, precision, and passion with every gear change. It’s a car that doesn’t just transport you—it involves you completely.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The engine starts instantly and idles smoothly. It performed very well on the test drive, feeling tight and stable on the road with no unusual noises. The gearbox shifts cleanly, and the brakes are solid and confidence-inspiring. Everything functions as it should, with the only note being that the air conditioning isn’t cold—likely due to needing a gas refill, though the current owner has rarely used it, as the car is typically driven with the roof down. The car is road tax exempt and inspected until 2026-03-31. Just turn the key and drive it home.

  • Interior condition:

The interior is exceptionally clean and tidy, with no damage. The leather seats, door cards, and carpets are all in great condition. The dashboard is undamaged, and all gauges are fully functional, along with the electric windows and mirrors. The current owner also had the switches professionally renovated, so there are no sticky buttons—a common issue that has been properly addressed.

  • Exterior condition:

The bodywork is straight, with no dents, damage, or rust—matching the excellent condition of the underbody. The paintwork is bright and clean, and the car presents very well. There are a few minor age-related touch-ups: one on the lower front left wing, and another on the edge of the rear right wing, along with a light polishing mark near the door on the right wing (see photos).

Approximately three years ago, the bonnet and one wing were repainted and a new windscreen fitted following a minor garage accident while the owner was moving items from the attic.

  • General condition:

A wonderful driver’s car that has been extremely well maintained and regularly serviced. Best of all, it has been properly driven every summer—never left standing—and always stored correctly in a garage.

Facts about the model

The Ferrari 348 made its first appearance at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September 1989, turning heads and marking a new chapter for the brand. Production kicked off that same year and ran until 1993, with fewer than 5,000 of the 348 TS (Transversale Spider) models built—a rare and exciting piece of Ferrari history.

Nicknamed the “baby Testarossa,” the 348 brought bold styling into the new decade. Designed by the legendary Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, it wore signature side strakes and a more spacious interior, bridging the gap between classic Ferrari flair and 1990s refinement.
