Description

It has a history from Utah but was purchased in Las Vegas and came to Sweden in 2006. A restoration was started by the first owner, and there are plenty of pictures of all the owners’ work, which are included on a USB stick. The body and paint jobs in 2007 had a final bill of 147,000 SEK, which was a major reason the current owner bought the car; he wanted a car with good bodywork to build on. Although he expected the drivetrain and chassis to meet the seller’s promises, today only the engine block, supercharger, and valve covers remain. The rest are new parts and ideas of consciously high quality.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

    This is an ambitiously built car and a refined interpretation of an idea from a previous owner. Despite its 880 horsepower, it is relatively easy to handle when the rear loses grip. It features effective brakes and nicely responsive steering for its type. With the supercharger in front, it’s challenging to focus on the curve’s apex. It’s not just straight-line performance that is impressive. Additionally, there is an uninstalled electronic fuel injection system available for the new owner (see picture). The car is prepared for this installation. Under “Owner’s Comments,” all technical details are listed, which is a long list.

  • Interior condition:

    Stylish and retro-modern instruments, controls, and details are combined with leather seats from BMW, which could benefit from some leather cleaning and conditioning. The small wooden steering wheel stands out somewhat contradictorily from the car’s performance-oriented appearance and is an aesthetic nod from the current owner, inspired by an early encounter many years ago with a sixties Camaro convertible with a similar wheel.

  • Exterior condition:

    The car was painted in 2007 in a bold and stylish color that suits its character, Lamborghini Orange Pearl. The hood is fiberglass and lifts straight up after releasing the four hood latches. The 20” wheels are milled from a single piece of aluminum and have their own history: a Swede bought a stock of Boyd Coddington parts, from which the current owner acquired them.

  • General condition:

    A build with much prestige, ambition, and performance. The owner does not hesitate to let the car show what it can do, and in turn, it performs with joy.

Owner's comment

Professionally built and prepared engine and gearbox by Dahlblom Bros. in Kristianstad. 440 bored and stroked to 505, bench tested to 880 hp and 1130 Nm on E85 with a Weiand 6-71 supercharger.

Balanced Eagle crankshaft with double keyways and H-beam rods.

Innovator West harmonic balancer, Ross pistons with Hellfire rings and JE piston pins, comp cams hydraulic roller cam with steel roller rockers and chromemoly pushrods.

Promaxx CNC-ported aluminum heads, Milodon high-volume oil pan and Melling high-volume oil pump, Coan converter.

ARP bolts throughout the engine and for the flexplate and converter.

SFI-rated flexplate.

MSD distributor and coil, MSD 6BTM ignition box.

727 automatic rebuilt and prepped as much as possible.

Gearvendor overdrive and 3.5" chromoly driveshaft with 1350 U-joints, Yukon gear differential with TrueTrack LSD and Moser 33-spline axles, RMS front and rear suspension with adjustable coilovers and Wilwood disc brakes along with rack and pinion steering with electric assist.

New Powermaster alternator and starter.

Billet master cylinder and Wilwood brake proportioning valve.

Hurst ratchet shifter in original center console.

Completely new wiring system from American Auto Wire, all lighting except low beams replaced with LEDs.

Synchronized electric motors for headlight doors.

18" Spal electric fan with thermostat control.

2x AEM wideband gauges.

Chassis reinforced with torque boxes and framerail extensions.

New fuel system with dual fuel cells 2x60L, 2x AEM in-tank pumps with space for a third, Teflon lines for E85, prepared for EFI.

Leather interior with BMW foldable power seats with 3-point seat belts, new headliner, new carpets.

New bumpers and side markers, 20" billet wheels from Boyd Coddington, polished and ceramic coated headers from TTI including a complete 3" exhaust system.

Built for drivability and reliability with a mild cam, runs like a scalded cat when you step on it, but no problem with city traffic or cruising in full summer heat.
