"The power and performance from the drivetrain, combined with the brakes and chassis, deliver that perfectly balanced restomod feel."

Description

The car was pre-registered in Sweden in December 2003. Its first owner then carried out an ambitious, thoughtful, and high-quality restoration, drawing on both personal experience and lessons learned from others. The approach used is a well-established one, known to produce excellent results.

A new owner will receive full documentation of the build, including extensive detail in the form of photos, documents, instructions, books, articles, and more. The books are in physical form, while the rest is stored digitally. The car has been sparingly driven over the years—a fact that the first owner, the current one, and likely the next owner all share as a common struggle: how to actually use something this nice. A delightful dilemma, perhaps, but a dilemma nonetheless.

The most recent and final approved inspection was completed on September 15, 2016.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Cleanly and effectively executed, featuring a 5.0-liter High Output Mustang engine from 1993, a 5-speed Tremec manual transmission, and a thoroughly updated chassis with a tightly tuned original steering setup. The rest of the car’s specifications are detailed in a long list below under “Owner’s Comments.”

  • Interior condition:

Tasteful, color-matched interior with a slightly more modern touch, featuring red seat belts and front seats equipped with proper headrests.

  • Exterior condition:

Deep red and beautifully finished paint, with straight bodywork and an intact, clean soft top accompanied by a matching boot cover. The wheels, tires, and engine sound give away a hint of what kind of car this really is. The only minor drawback is a low-speed noise coming from the polyurethane bushings.

  • General condition:

A car that neither the current owner nor the builder before him has ever taken out in the rain, on gravel roads, or anything of the sort. A beautiful and carefully planned build, enjoyed by the current owner as a dream fulfilled. But that dream also brings with it a certain cautious awareness—an understanding that, despite being in exceptionally fine condition, the car is meant to be driven. It was built for today’s roads, after all.
