Condition

Mechanical condition
The car starts easily and runs smoothly in the engine. During a short test drive at a calm pace, everything seemed to function as it should. When accelerating firmly, the power was felt to be present. The undercarriage has not been inspected on a lift. There were no remarks during inspection, but there are areas and details that should be examined more closely and, if necessary, addressed.
-
Interior condition
The interior is in original condition with some patina. Everything is intact and appears to function well. However, the air conditioning should be checked as its functionality is uncertain.
-
Exterior condition
The car was wrapped a few years ago, and while it looks good, there are some bubbles and minor signs of wear. There is beginning rust in the driver's side door opening and by the passenger-side rear window. The wheels and tires are in good condition. The engine and trunk compartments are in usable condition.

General condition
The model 928 caused a sensation when it was launched, earning it the title of Car of the Year in 1978, despite being relatively extreme and aimed at a select few. It looks lightning-fast even when stationary and quickly became a style icon. Today, it's a popular enthusiast and collector car. This particular example, with its Swedish history, is therefore interesting in several ways. It may now be time for various measures. It's up to the new owner to set the standard. Regardless, here you get a fun, bold, and joyous GT car. A delightful classic.

Facts about the model
Nevertheless, when the 928 arrived, it took the market by storm and was, among other things, named Car of the Year.
Weight and aerodynamics were important factors. Doors, front fenders, and hood were made of aluminum. Behind the plastic bumpers, which were integrated into the body, there were aluminum profiles.
The body shape with a hatchback profile had space for luggage, sports equipment, and possibly a miniature schnauzer. The rear seat was foldable and expanded the space in the rear, which was more practical than as a seating area.
The round pop-up headlights became a characteristic feature. From the model year 1979 and the 928S model, front and rear spoilers were added for even better aerodynamics.
Now the engine was positioned at the front and was a water-cooled V8. Another completely new development for the car was a double-wishbone rear axle. A so-called Weissach axle. Toe-in changed under acceleration and functioned more or less like passive rear-wheel steering. Over the years, the model was developed with different versions and performance.
The version 928S from the years 1980-1986 had a black front and rear spoiler, side protection strips painted in the car's color, and side indicators (1981). Larger rear window. Dual exhaust pipes. The output (in Europe) was initially 300 hp, increased to 310 hp for the model year 1984, and in the last year, it dropped to 288 hp due to a catalytic converter.
