Current owner bought this DS, his dream car, as early as 1995 as a rolling project for a future rebuild. He enjoyed the car for some summer seasons before the work took off.
The rebuild was completed 2011, and the DS has not covered more than 1000 km's per year since then. The foldable sunroof is sourced from a Renault Twingo, a common conversion by some Citroën DS enthusiasts, albeit not original accessory that came from the brand Webasto.
Finished in the original colour Sable Métallisé, a gold metallic. Handcrafted beautiful and soft leather interior from Italy in original fashion. Some interior details remain to be mounted. Engine and gearbox is basically untouched, however, noise when downshifting to 2nd gear is related to a synchromesh problem. Otherwise, the comfortable H-box with hydraulic steering requires a running-in period for new drivers, when that´s done, it is possible to drive very soft and stylish. Fresh rubber KUMHO tyres are mounted in the original dimension 185/80 15.

Runs well in engine and gearbox, but the synchronic rings on the second gear need to be replaced in the near future.

Nice in body and lacquer. Some small chips in a few places. Carefully plate renovated. The thin Pallas chrome trim on the to the doors remain to be installed.

Facts about the model
When Citroën DS (pronounced Deésse, goddess in French) was presented at the Paris Motor Show 1955, the whole car world was taken by storm, no one had seen anything like that. The model lived for 20 years and received 1967 an important novelty in the form of a new hydralic oil system based on a green mineral oil, LHM, Liquide Hydraulique Minérale. This was a great improvement over the previous hydralic oil to suspension that had similarities with normal brake fluids.
The model year 1967 is considered particularly attractive since it is the only one with the old front and the new LHM system. The engine options were quite simple. A V6 engine was under development, but never came into production due to the less forthcoming GS model demanding more of the development budget. But in the last year of the goddess the injection versions of the 2.1 engine and the last drilled version, 2, 3IE. They developed 125 and 140 hp respectively.
In Sweden, DS is often called a bit plump for the toad, while in other languages it has considerably nicer epithet, as has been said in particular in the original language. En Francais, une Deésse.
