This car has been refurbished with great care and attention to detail. It appears to have been purchased directly from a Saab dealer in 1964. For many, a 1964 Saab Sport is the ideal old Saab. The new, longer front was introduced the following year, among other things.
It has a carburettor for each cylinder, front disc brakes, separately lubricated system, which means you don't have to mix oil with the gasoline, extra lights, and a special interior and sports steering wheel.
With front-wheel drive, wonderful chassis properties, and good steering, Saab's two-stroke provides a unique driving experience. Saab's 96 sport was both beautiful and ingenious thanks to Sixtens Sason's own design and the aircraft heritage's low center of gravity and flat floor.

Facts about the model
Den 17 februari 1960 var en stor dag för Saab. Då visade man för första gången nya modellen 96 och bara någon månad senare började den säljas. Saab 96 var till det yttre i stort sett likadan som 93:an fram till de bakre sidorutorna som var större. Sedan var hela bakpartiet omgjort, bakrutan hade växt med 117 procent och bagageluckan ändrad. Bensintanken var större, liksom bakljusen och handtaget till luckan bak. Förutom att den såg modernare ut var den dessutom bekvämare med större baksäte och bättre takutrymme bak. Dessutom hade den bättre ventilation. Instrumentbrädan var helt omarbetad med liggande hastighetsmätare och fyra runda visartavlor. Tekniskt sett var den dock nästan identisk med föregångaren 93 – men med samma lite större tvåtaktsmotor som funnits en tid i 95. Till en början erbjöds dock inte kombins fyrväxlade låda.
