Description

This motorcycle has not been in traffic since the 70s, at that time the owner renovated and painted the machine but never had to complete it before his dead. Have got their thorns and flaws through long time storage in warehouses and garages. The current owner has owned it for many years but realizes that the time is not enough to clear this item.

    The engine rolls over, but not started. Needs a complete overhaul of brakes, electrical systems, etc… Silencers has rusted away and throttle cable is cut.

Facts about the model

Zündapps första motorcykel kom 1921, och hade beteckningen Z22. Slogan var "Motorrad für Jedermann", vilket betyder "Motorcykel för alla". Z22 var enkel (och därför ganska pålitlig) konstruktion som producerades i stort antal. Motorn var en encylindrig, luftkyld tvåtaktsmotor med motorvolymen 211 cm3 och effekten 2,25 hk.

Zündapp började tillverka tyngre motorcyklar, K-serien, år 1933. K:et står för kardandrift. Serien omfattade motorcyklar med motorvolymer från 200 till 800 cm3, och höjde Zündapps marknadsandel i Tyskland från 5 % till 18 %.

Från 1940 och fram till 1944 producerade Zündapp 18 000 exemplar av KS 750. Det var en modell med sidvagn, som var optimerad för terrängkörning. Den hade inte bara backväxel och drift på sidovagnens hjul, vilket i sig är mycket ovanligt för motorcyklar, den hade också differentialspärr. Den användes av Wehrmacht under andra världskriget.

Efter kriget började företaget gradvis att producera mindre och mindre maskiner, exempelvis skotern "Bella". Den sista av de tyngre maskinerna kom 1950 – KS 601, i folkmun kallad "den gröna elefanten". Den var utrustad med en tvåcylindrig motor på 598 cm3. Effekten var mellan 28 och 38 hk, beroende på modell. Tillverkningen av KS 601 upphörde år 1958.

Företaget flyttande från Nürnberg till München år 1958, och lade samtidigt ner all biltillverkning. Nürnbergfabriken köptes av Bosch. Företaget satsade istället på lättare modeller; inte bara MC, även mopeder och skotrar. De slutade också med tillverkning av fyrtaktsmotorer, och satsade helt på tvåtaktsmotorer. I början sålde Zündapps mopeder och skotrar väl, men konkurrens från billigare japanska motorcyklar och mopeder gjorde att försäljningen sviktade. Företaget gav upp år 1984 och bommade igen.

  • At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
  • During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
