"A good and presentable car that runs and drives well, has few small cosmetic issues mainly odd paint touch ups. Otherwise a great drivers car and a real head turning summer machine."

Jaguar E-Type has to be still one of the best designed cars is the world. This series II came to Sweden 2009 from Oregon in the USA and has in the last three years belonged to a large collection of exclusive cars. Probably never renovated but sometime it has been repainted in original Primrose Yellow, it’s now had some rough paint touch ups. Overall, however, the car is in a nice and honest used condition, and it is obvious that it had previous owners have managed it well.
The interior of black leather is neat with fine patina – with just a few details to work on to get really nice. The rear seat has a centimeter of damage to the backrest top, the mats are worn and the original knob has some cracks in the wood but nothing that stands out.
The car was drivable when came to the current owner three years ago, and has since just been started a few times each year. Unknown what has been renovated over the years but probably no major stuff the car remains very original. 4.2 liter Six is recently started and driven and the engine and gearbox sounds and runs well.

Just been started and driven and good engine, brakes steering and gearbox, Automatic gearbox needs pushing into "P" a few time to start. The car needs to be driven since its been standing for 3 years. No major faults or remarks

  • Interior condition:

A clean and original interior with a few minor fixes. No visible damage to the front seats. The rear seat has a centimeter of damage to the backrest top.
Inner plastic molding around the back door needs refitting. The mats have several wear holes on the right and left side. The accelerator pedal lacks rubber cover, repaired vinyl on the right side sill and a cigarette burn on the left side sill.

Headliner is in good condition. No visible damage but some minor dirt stains that are likely to be rectified with a good clean. Door card neat and whole, interior chrome detailing is loose. The instrument panel is in good and in a genuine working condition. A small crack on the gear knob and the rear view mirror is slightly loose. In the US style, the car has air conditioning, but not tested. The vinyl on the upper part the instrument panel has lifted near the glove box. Sunscreen visor on the left side is hanging. Retro modern CD stereo. Luggage compartment is ok; a small hatch cover is missing on the right side. Two minor damage to the vinyl in the floor. But overall has a nice impression. Original spare wheel.

  • Exterior condition:

In working condition – with an older repainting in Primrose Yellow with some marks and blemishes, paint touch up with a color difference. The left door and the tailgate may need a fine adjustment. Chrome in good condition to be the original. Dented headlight surrounds front headlight right and left side. Bumpers – not perfect but shiny and do not spoil a car in fine working condition. Wheels are good but not perfect. Been repainted at some stage of its life and lower sills have probably been replaced

  • General condition:

Starts and drives ok no problems with the engine or gearbox, with older renovation and touch ups, would be improved with a polish.

Facts about the model

The Jaguar E-Type struck down as a bomb when it was presented on Genévesalongen 1961. The body was designed by aerodynamics-the mathematician Malcolm Sayer who came from the aircraft manufacturer Bristol. And certainly, the legacy of the aerospace industry is clearly visible with the karos sides shaped like wings and muzzle most like air intake to a reamotor. The Jaguar E-Type Series II was launched at Earls Court in October 1968 and as its predecessor it was available in three body models – open Roadster, Fixedhead Coupé and 2 + 2 Coupé. Series II was manufactured only between 1968 and 1970 – before being replaced by the heavier Series III with V12 engine.
