Description
This beautiful Rolls was imported from the USA in 1990. Its early history is not known, but during its time in Sweden the car is said to have been owned by a hotel in Dalarna. Presumably used to pick up prominent guests.
The car is in very good driver condition. Probably repainted at some point in the 1990s. Whether in Sweden or the USA, the history does not tell. Well cared for, with a large number of receipts on hand. The cost of the completely replaced brake system alone exceeds SEK 100,000.
Nicely patinated interior, which we feel suits this car well. Everything clean and tidy, however. The most recent and final inspection was carried out in 2021.

The engine purrs like a kitten and the gears slip in with ease. Everything else on the technical side is in good working order. Fine tires of unknown age. No dry rot. Spare wheel, jack, and a key to working locks.

Interior condition
Beautifully patinated seat surfaces and backrests. There is a small area of damage in the driver's seat that would be easy for a professional to repair. How you want the leather upholstery is a matter of personal choice. In its current patinated condition, or with re-dyeing and reconditioning. All according to taste and preference. Minor wear damage to the floor mats at the left front.

Exterior condition
As previously mentioned, the car has been repainted at some point during its lifetime. The paintwork has held up well, but there are a number of minor blisters on the hood, likely caused by the spray filler method.

A grand and stylish impression. A beautiful color scheme in the paintwork and mechanically in very fine condition.

Introduced in 1973, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow belongs to the first generation (Silver Shadow I) of a model that became an enormous milestone and watershed in the automaker's history. The model was produced between 1965 and 1980, and 1973 in particular was an interesting year, with both technical updates and organizational changes taking place.

A technical revolution for the marque:
Before the Silver Shadow was launched, Rolls-Royce was known for building cars on traditional, separate chassis that were then bodied by external coachbuilders. The Silver Shadow broke completely with this tradition:
Unibody construction: This was the first Rolls-Royce model with a modern monocoque construction (unibody). This made the car lower, more spacious and more structurally modern, but it also meant the end of the classic era of bespoke, one-off coachwork.
Advanced suspension: To guarantee the legendary, silky-smooth ride, Rolls-Royce licensed a high-pressure hydropneumatic self-leveling system from Citroën of France.
Modern brakes: The drum brakes of its predecessor were replaced by disc brakes on all four wheels.

Engine: Under the long hood sat the marque's classic 6.75-liter aluminum V8 engine (introduced in late 1969 to replace the earlier 6.2-liter engine). Output was traditionally stated by Rolls-Royce simply as "adequate," but in practice was around 190–220 horsepower with massive torque.
Gearbox: Power was delivered to the rear wheels via a highly reliable 3-speed Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic gearbox sourced from General Motors. The column-mounted gear selector was fully electrically operated.
Interior: The cabin offered the absolute highest conceivable luxury with Connolly leather, thick Wilton wool carpets and dashboards in book-matched, hand-polished walnut.
