Description

The car was built in 1986 and has had six owners, with the current owner purchasing it in 2022. It has only been driven as a summer car by him and the previous owners. These cars look cool and always attract a lot of attention. The cost of building these vehicles isn't cheap, and it takes time and expertise to get them approved and registered for use on Swedish roads. Vehicle specifications and the build has been approved by the Swedish Transport Department below:

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car runs and drives well, with the engine sounding great. The automatic gearbox works fine, though the gear selector needs a slight adjustment as it doesn’t perfectly align with the indicated numbers. An extra plastic tank has been fitted under the rumble seat cover; the owner has inspected the car with this setup, as the original tank likely has a leak that will need repairing. The engine bay is clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with regular servicing by the owner. The wheels and tires are in good condition.

  • Interior condition:

The interior is simple and practical, featuring manual switches for the indicators and lights, a horn, and manually operated windscreen wipers. The vinyl seats are in good condition and include a center console with a flip-up box lid that’s loosely fitted. The carpeting is basic, with some wear, and the door cards show signs of repair and slight wear around the driver’s side panel. Small catches on the inner door handles open the doors, as there are no exterior handles. An extra water gauge has been fitted, but it appears not to be working.

  • Exterior condition:

The car is in good condition, with no rust thanks to its fiberglass body, although the bonnet is metal. The bodywork is in good shape overall, with no damage—just some minor chips and wear around the top edges from fitting the roof. The paintwork looks great, especially in sunlight when the flake paint really shines. There are a few chips and marks in places, but nothing major. The underbody is clean and tidy, with no damage or issues. The roof is undamaged, fits well, and isn’t too tricky to lift on and off—I managed it myself.

  • General condition:

This is a nice Hot Rod that's easy to drive and looks great. There are no major issues, though repairing the fuel tank in the future would be beneficial—it’s been this way since the owner bought it. You’ll get that classic ZZ Top feeling when you drive this car.
