Description
This Opel Rallye Kadett was difficult to sell new because no rally driver desired a car with no extra weight, thus it is extremely rare to find one with the original sunroof. However, the present owner's father purchased the car after seeing the benefits of the openable sunroof. After a few months, the son began to use the car more frequently, and it was written over for him a few years later. Until the 1980s, the Rallye Kadett was used as a daily driver. The front wings and sills were replaced and the car was then repainted in its original color and thoroughly anti-corrosion treated. After that, it was only used as a recreational vehiclecar for leisure trips and meetings. When not in use, the car has been garaged.
It includes four wheels with older summer tires and three wheels with winter tires. Two original round additional lights in good condition are included. There are no extra holes for speakers in doors or parcel shelf, nor are there any for radios in the instrument panel.
Rallye kadett has been inspected/MOT and is now ready to drive. Because the car has been little driven in recent years, it may require service.

Good condition. Certain chrome trims around the wheelhouse are missing, as are some Rallye Kadett emblems. They were stolen during a garage burglary in the late 1980s, after the car had been repainted. There are bubbles in the paint on the roof behind the sunroof and elsewhere.

Facts about the model
Opel Kadett B kom 1966 och byggdes fram till 1973. Baserades i huvudsak på samma teknik som föregångaren men var lite större, med mer elegant kaross. Fanns i sedan- och coupe´modell samt kombi som kallades Caravan En udda version kallades Olympia, och var en lite lyxigare version än Kadett, men förutom utsmyckning och motorer, var den identisk med Kadett. Större motorer kom också, standard var nu 1100, men även 1500, 1700 och senare kom 1900 cc i den populära Rallye-Kadett (Coupé), och Kadett Sport (Sedan). Den stora motorn på 90 DIN hk, gav Rallye-Kadett och Kadett Sport goda prestanda, och de användes flitigt i motortävlingar, med stora framgångar. Sporrade av detta, byggde Opel en ännu starkare Rallye-Kadett, med 1900 cc motorn trimmad till 106 DIN hk. Denna version fick tillnamnet "Sprint", i likhet med den större Rekord när denna var försedd med den trimmade motorn.
1100S motorn var 10 Hkr starkare än grundversionen. Coupémodellen är den mest eftertraktade och idag mycket ovanlig då dessa bilar slets ut som bruksbilar och rostade en hel del.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
