Description
Ron Starr was born in New York and joined the military in 1958, where he was stationed in California. After that date, he never left California.
He earned a degree in business administration and spent the following 20 years working as a loan manager at a bank and as a contact person for car dealers.
In 1980, he purchased this 1968 Camaro Coupe from the original owner, a young woman who received the car as a high school graduation gift. The car has over 90,000 miles (about 1500 miles) on the odometer. Nobody had ever sat in the rear seat, she stated.
In the early 1980s, he also opened a Honda dealership. Honda had only recently begun producing cars, and no one had heard of them. They were known as scooter makers in the United States. However, sales increased with time, and he sold it for a fair profit approximately ten years later.
Around the same time, he had the Camaro's body and panels entirely disassembled and repainted in Marina Blue, his wife's favorite color. (The original was white.) Because the car spent its entire existence in California, it is a rust free beauty. He has kept the car in good condition, and everything works flawlessly. It also appears to be better than new. He occasionally attended car shows, where he is always surrounded by a crowd. Because old age and wanted someone else to appreciate it as much as he has over the years.
The closest thing is a brand new 1968 Camaro.
