Description

The car has had 8 owners, including dealers, and has been in the same family in eastern Jämtland since 1991. It is now being sold on behalf of an estate, and there is no information about previous owners before 1991. The car has only 30,000 kilometers on the odometer, but the actual mileage cannot be verified. According to the current owner’s representative, the engine has been overhauled and runs well during test drives. The gearbox has been replaced with a five-speed unit, and it also functions without issues. The original gearbox is available. The brakes are well-maintained and work well. The car likely underwent an early repaint in the same color as the original. There are some paint damages on the hood, roof, and some external rust on the fenders and doors. Additionally, the most recent inspection noted the following issues: rust damage to the inner left side sill and rust damage to the rear suspension mounts at both wheel arches. See pictures. The car is otherwise in solid condition, and the interior looks good. It is equipped with large spoilers both front and rear, as was fashionable at the time. The original bumpers are in good condition and available. The wheels are not original. The car has great potential to become really nice again, but it is currently not inspected.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car starts and runs well, with the engine being responsive. According to the owner, the head has been overhauled. The car has been recently serviced, and the cooling system works properly, maintaining normal temperature during test drives. The exhaust system is in good condition. The gearbox has been replaced with a 5-speed unit, but the original 4-speed gearbox is available. No leaks were detected underneath the car. The gauges work except for the clock, and they are all in good condition, with the electrical system functioning properly. The sunroof appears to be sealed, and no moisture damage is evident in the roof, though the sunroof’s function has not been tested. The locks work, and spare keys are available. The radio has been replaced with a newer model, which works, but the original Blaupunkt radio is also included.

  • Interior condition:

The upholstery and seats are in their original condition. The seats show normal wear for their age but are intact. The headliner is in good condition. The floor mats are intact, and an original worn rubber mat with pedal holes is still in the car. The trunk is complete and tidy, with the original jack and spare wheel. There is a small amount of rust at the lower edge in the trunk area.

  • Exterior condition:

The car has likely been repainted, but the work is well-executed, and the color is the same as the original. It features large front and rear spoilers, which are somewhat worn, but the original bumpers are in good condition and are still available. The paint on the hood has numerous very small dents, though it hasn’t cracked. On the roof, there are three damages: two are likely due to rust, and the third is a scratch on the edge of the sunroof, approximately 30 mm in diameter. The left front fender and the left rear fender in front of the wheel show rust damage, as depicted in the pictures. Additionally, there is a small rust spot on the lower edge of the right door, also shown in the pictures. The fender edges are intact. Underneath the car, the inner left side sill is rust-damaged, and the rear suspension mounts at both wheel arches are rust-damaged. There are no signs that the car has needed major repairs in the past.

  • General condition:

The car is in fairly good condition for its age and has all the potential to be restored to excellent condition. It has been well-maintained inside and has been stored in a garage for many years.
