In the fall of 2003, the current owner's father spotted this beautiful Rover Mini 40, a commemorative model, at a car meet in Skokloster.
A note was placed in the windshield indicating it was for sale. By then, it had only been driven for 13,020 kilometers. A deal was struck, and since then, the car has been owned by the current family. Today, the 24-year-old vehicle has only traveled 28,130 kilometers, or if you prefer, an average of 1,170 kilometers per year! Since 2003, the Mini has always been kept in a heated garage when not in use. The car remains in near-original condition. The window cranks and interior door handles have been replaced, but the original parts come with the car. This Mini 40 lacks the anniversary decals on the rear fenders and stripes on the body sides, but it has been adorned with "Cooper" stripes on the bonnet; however, these were not factory-applied. Also included are caster rods, lower control arms, and camber/toe mounts for the rear axle, all of which are adjustable for customizing the car's wheel alignment. The Mini retains its original paint in the Mulberry Red shade, which is in excellent condition. All inspection protocols since 2003 and the instruction manual are included with the car. Mechanical condition
The Mini is well-maintained and performs well in terms of engine and drivetrain. The minimalistic equipment functions as it should. The car has undergone rust-proofing and looks good.

Interior condition
The interior is in mint condition, and the cabin smells of leather and a new car. Clean, fresh, and well-maintained. The aluminum dashboard is in excellent condition. The headliner is intact and spotless.

Exterior condition
The car is in near mint condition in terms of paint and bodywork. The paint on the rear wheel arches is slightly blasted at the lower front edge. The chrome work is in mint condition. Nice rims with the original tires mounted. These have good tread but might have passed their 'best before' date.

Only 16 Rover Mini 40s were sold in Sweden, and this particular one is in near mint condition!

Facts about the model
The Rover Mini was available in a range of "Limited Editions" depending on the model year and market. A Mini 40 from 1999 represents the final anniversary version. The Mini 40 was produced in 800 units, with half of them destined for Japan and England, while the rest were for export. It came in several different colors, but Mulberry Red was the most common choice in Sweden. It featured red leather upholstery, an instrument panel with aluminum finish, and special gauges that distinguished the Mini 40. The Mini 40 decals were not pre-installed on export models but could be purchased as an option.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
