"It starts right up and drives like a proper old Jeep should; the owner knows everything there is to know about jeeps and has owned it since 2011."

Description

As evidenced by a plaque on the dashboard, this Jeep was delivered new to Borås fire department in 1947. It had eight owners after that and spent the majority of its life in and around Borås/Jonköping. It includes older paperwork and inspection reports, which are unusual for these vintage Jeeps. When the owner bought the Jeep in 2011, it had been repainted in its current colour after being painted lilac in the 1980s. The current owner has several Jeeps and bought this one because it is solid in the bodywork and frame, original, and has a good history. A rear PTO drive, which drives a lot of extra equipment, such as a saw, is a very cool feature added by the owner. The engine number is 109788, but the older paperwork refers to 104788; it's easy to confuse the 9 for a 4, leading the owner to believe it's an original engine. According to an older inspection report from 1975, the jeep had driven 33672 km and today is 01260 km, implying at least one trip around the clock.
