"Well-functioning car in good used condition"

Description

It is said that "no gentleman travels behind less than twelve cylinders." This XJS has Jaguar's legendary 5.3-liter V12. The previous year's model before the 1991 redesign. Imported in 2000 and equipped with features such as air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, a cassette player, and an onboard computer. Newly inspected with no issues, but service book is missing.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car has received a service and technical review recently after it has been stationary for a period. Brakes refurbished and work well. Runs nice and smooth in the engine. A/C is out of order. Nice and dry in the engine compartment and everything is in its place. One exhaust pipe is temporarily held in place

  • Interior condition:

Inside, the car gives a good impression, nice blue leather in very good condition, no cracks, seams intact. The door cards are also fine and no abnormal wear on the carpets, pedals and steps. The wood is good, but the veneer has cracked slightly over the years. The power windows control panel in the centre console has come loose but the contacts work. The headliner is completely clean, although it has loosened and is hanging down. No traces of moisture penetration and the sealing are in good condition.
In the boot, the original spare wheel is in its place. Upholstery is nice, original first aid box and complete tool set - the latter has probably never been used as the tools have some surface rust and oxidation.

  • Exterior condition:

Blue metallic with a double coachline. The body is mostly uninjured, with the exception of some stone chips and rust on the wheelhouse corners and one wing against the threshold. However the right side wings, and wheel arches unharmed. A minor rust hole can be seen beneath the right taillight. Good   floors, thresholds, and trunk floor. Some rust is also visible on the lower margins of the doors. The car has US bumpers, but I'm not sure where it was originally sold. European standards apply to lights, blinkers, and other items. The fit is typical of bumpers designed for the United States.

  • General condition:

Working and freshly inspected/MOTed, the car is ready to drive as is or further refine as you go.
