Description
The car was purchased in May 1968 from Upplands Motor in Uppsala by Arne Gullbrand. He exclusively used the car during the summer months and always kept it in a garage when not in use. He drove the car until 1985 when his son, Lars Erik Gullbrand, took ownership. At that point, the car had traveled around 6,000 miles.
Lars Erik lived in Ronneby and was employed at F 17 in Kallinge, where he had the opportunity to store the car in a conditioned aircraft hangar. It remained there for 29 years and was sparingly driven during the summer months, accumulating about 1,000 miles during this time.
The current owner purchased the car in 2014 and has only driven it sparingly during the summer to attend events and exhibitions, where it has won several awards.

Facts about the model
The major updates on the 1968 Volvo Amazon included the split steering column and the new safety steering wheel that collapsed upon impact. The cars were now equipped with power brakes and the small knobs on the seats for adjusting the lumbar support. Additionally, the wiper arms were treated with an anti-glare coating.
At the end of 1967, the production of all four-door Amazons ceased, but the two-door version continued production until 1970. During the 1960s, the Amazon was Volvo's major volume car and a significant success both in Sweden and on various export markets. It was appreciated for its sturdy construction and reliability.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
