"Good restoration project, complete with nice interior."

Description

The car came into the current owner's family in 1974, at which point it was repainted from light gray to blue and was driven daily. In 1975, a heating issue arose, and the car was taken off the road for repairs. Since then, it has been stored in a garage and has been well-preserved. However, a restoration is needed before it can be back on the roads again.

Facts about the model

The Jaguar MK II is a four-door sports saloon that was produced from 1959 to 1967, serving as the successor to the Mark I. The car comes with three types of engines: 2.4 liters, 3.4 liters, and 3.8 liters. The Mark 2.4 has 120 HP, the Mark 3.4 has 210 HP, and the Mark 3.8 has 220 HP.

The car's exterior differed from its predecessor in several aspects. For example, the upper part of the car was redesigned, improving visibility by 18 percent. The updated look also featured a new grille and larger lamps with a different placement. Furthermore, the car's interior underwent a revision, with an improved instrument layout. The Jaguar MK II introduced disc brakes on all four wheels as the new standard.

For instance, the 3.4-liter version reaches a top speed of 193 km/h. The car accelerates from 0 to 97 km/h in 11.9 seconds. The 3.8-liter variant achieves a top speed of 201 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 97 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. Jaguar produced a total of 83,976 cars in the Mark II series. After 1967, the 2.4-liter and 3.4-liter Mark II models were renamed as 240 and 340, respectively.
