Mechanical condition
A 1500cc 4-cylinder engine with a twin port Weber carburetor produces 82hp, and a 4-speed gearbox. In the engine, it runs smoothly and steadily. A NOS clutch cylinder is supplied, and replacing it would improve shifting even more. In March 2022, the car was inspected and a brake hose and a steering joint were found to be defective. Replacement steering joint is provided. Because the car has been sitting for 20 years, an inspection and service of the ignition system is recommended.

Interior condition
Interior in artificial leather has done well. There are some flaws. Some small holes in the rear seat cushion, as well as holes in the upper part of the backrest. Slightly wavy door panels and worn door handles. A change of the radio cover plate would give the instrument panel a lift. See pictures for more info.

Exterior condition
The car has an older repaint that has flaws in it. There are little spots / rust blisters and paint flakes. On the roof, several areas have been extensively polished. The car has a few minor dents. The most noticeable at the hood's front. On inspection, there was a rust hole in the left front beam. Bumpers with rust spots. Some replacement bumper parts are included, some of which are NOS. Despite some remarks, the car gives a good overall impression. A car like this can be used as it is or become great with a new paint job.
Facts about the model
Men nu var det modell 1500 det skulle handla om.
Simca 1500 tillverkades mellan 1963 och 1966. Den sålde i mängder. Främst i Frankrike naturligtvis. Men enligt uppgift letade sig 3500 exemplar till Sverige. Den såldes av Philipsson i Sverige. En lokal återförsäljare kallade den för lill-mercedes. Beroende på att den var ovanligt välbyggd och med bra väghållning. För att vara fransk, skulle nog många säga. Faktum är att den lilla 1,5 litersmotorn med aluminiumtopp, som var ovanligt på standardbilar 1963, utvecklade hela 82 hk. Kombimodellen av Simca 1500 kallades Break. En kul detalj på break var att luckan i golvet på bagageutrymmet gick att plocka ur. Sen fällde man bara ner benen, så simsalabim, hade man ett campingbord. Fransk finess!
Den som känner för att skaffa en Simca 1500 får nog skynda på. Det finns nämligen bara ett fåtal kvar. Enligt uppgifter från Transportstyrelsen finns endast 26 stycken Simca 1500 registrerade i Sverige. De få som säljs går oftast utomlands. Svenska kronan är ju som bekant lågt värderad, och svenska veteranbilar anses utomlands som billiga i inköp.

For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
