Description
The current owner bought the car in 1974. After 9 years, in 1983, it was sold on to a friend but then bought back in 2012. This old beetle is still in fine original condition, and has never been rusty or welded. The car has been in dry storage since 1997 and has not been driven or started since. The engine rolls over and the car is in extremely good condition both inside and outside.
The following things are missing on the car; bracket to wiper blades, rubber mat on the driver's side, a hub caps, tools and jack. A few small scratches are found in the paint after storage for 25 years, but absolutely no rust. The bottom of the interior door cloth on the passenger side is broken, (see picture). Moldings and lamps as well as bumpers are original (on the bumpers there is pitted in the chrome). As an accessory, there is a glove compartment cover on the driver's side and a clock in the middle of the dashboard.
The mileage is 00086, which in our opinion is 100,086 km, which we consider to be total mileage considering how nice it is in upholstery and engine bay and more. The car is built in autumn 1950, model year 1950, and thus has hydraulic brakes that came this year. The car also has the new ventilation hatches in front of the doors (so-called ischiasluckor) which came in the autumn of 1950 to model 1951.

Mechanical condition
The engine is not started, but does roll over and all the brakes work. The car will naturally need a full start up service and inspection. The engine is a 25 hp replacement engine reportedly, replaced at a VW workshop in the late 1950s. The engine number of the new engine is a L116.

Interior condition
The interior is completely original, the seat upholstery and has been protected by double, form-fitting Artex covers, also on the door sides (photos). Where the protective cover is on, the original upholstery, underneath, is just as nice. The floor mats slightly worn.

Exterior condition
The car was given a new paint, qualitatively and professionally executed, in the mid-1990s in the original color pastellgrün, color code L11, when the old one was pale.

Exciting opportunity to buy a very nice and early VW Type 1 with low mileage. Even the tires are of original design.

VW typ 1, Bubblan, kom i mitten av 1930-talet och kallades då KDF-Wagen. Efter andra världskriget återupptogs produktionen 1946 under namnet Volkswagen. 23 miljoner bilar hann byggas på många ställen över hela världen innan produktionen upphörde 2003, vid sista VW Bubbla fabriken i Mexico. I Tyskland slutade de tillverkas med toppmodellen 1303 under 1975.
Denna bil av 1950 års modell är mycket lik de första VW- bilarna och har därför högsta samlarvärde, då många detaljer ändrades påföljande och kommande år. Detta är ett särskilt fint samlarexemplar, vilket framgår av ovan beskrivning.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
