SAAB 96 Sport 841cc — 1962

• Mechanical condition

  The 841 cubic-inch engine has three Solex carburetors, one for each cylinder, producing 52 horsepower instead of the regular 38hp. The transmission featured a 4-speed, which was one more than a standard 96. To help stop the car, disc brakes were fitted, which raised some eyebrows in 1962. The engine and transmission have been completely rebuilt, and the car has only travelled 903 kilometres. According to the owner's notes, the crankshaft alone cost SEK 15,000 to renovate. It gets off to a good start with plenty pf pwer. Everything has been restored and overhauled, including the brakes and chassis. Instrumentation Jige in Leksand renovated the speedometer and clock. In a nutshell, everything is in technically in the best condition.

• Interior condition

  A Swedish sports sedan's experience was complemented by a wooden steering wheel and spherical instrumentation, including a tachometer. Only Saab Sport and Monte Carlo cars have such a lovely interior. It's in great shape and has been well-maintained. The only part of the seat cushion that has shown some wear is the rear seat cushion"see pictures". Original spare wheel with contemporary diagonal tyre, jack, and triangle are all included.

• Exterior condition

  The body has been dismantled and painted both inside and out. There are a few of dust marks in the paint on the roof. But the car has not been polished after the repaint. Nicely detailed engine compartment. New bumpers, New rubber seals and fine decorative moldings. A small dent can be seen on the threshold on the inside, when you open the door as well as a weld on the inside of the driver's door. Equipped with aftermarket aluminum wheels and new tires.

• General condition

  Overall, a car in the best collector condition and a rare model these days
  The car was restored 2017-2019 with parts and ID from an original Saab Sport 1962 and a rustfree body from 1964..

• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
