  • General condition:

This model, which was just recently common on our roads, but suddenly isn't seen as often in traffic anymore. The model is now celebrating 40 years and has become a classic. Facts about the model

The Saab 9000 premiered at Kålmården on May 24, 1984, and was produced between 1984 (model year 1985) and 1998. The model was developed in collaboration with the Fiat Group and had three "siblings" in the Fiat Croma, Alfa Romeo 164, and Lancia Thema.

The design of the 9000 model is attributed to Giorgetto Giugiaro and Björn Envall. The body styles included a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback. Over the years, a variety of versions were produced, ranging from family wagons to models with luxury and sporty ambitions. One of these was the Talladega model, named after a racetrack in the USA, where Saab set several speed records for standard cars.

For the 1992 model year, an upgrade was made with the introduction of the 9000 CS model. It featured a five-door hatchback, a lower front with four headlights, a new rear end with reinforced structure, and improved safety.

On May 6, 1998, the last Saab 9000 car was manufactured, and it was driven directly to the Saab Museum.
