Renovated into a top condition by father and son team, who are real Volvo enthusiast The mileage is 229280 km and in the last 18 years the car has only driven 635 km. The car stored off road since 2003 during that time the lower sills were replaced and floor and frame work was repaired. The current owner bought the car in 2017 and decided to carry on the renovation work they replaced the rear sills and spare wheel well. In 2018 the car underwent a full professional repaint with clear coat to add that deep black finish, the engine received a major review with new paint and many new parts – new radiator hoses, new water pump, cam strap with new tensioner, fuel pump etc. The car passed it Mot/inspection without ant remarks and is now fitted with brand new tires. The main components of motor/ transmission are completely untouched and in very good condition.

The new Volvo car family had been developed with rigorous safety requirements. They were, in fact, so rigorous that the car was used as the standard car for safety developments by the authorities in the USA.
However, the Volvo 245 also set the standard when it came to performance. When the turbocharged version of the 245 was presented in 1981, it was one of the world's fastest estates.
On two occasions, the car was given a facelift, for the 1981 and 1986 model years.
