Description
Among other things, the lock mechanism in the left front door, the flex pipe, both front sway bar links, the springs all around, and the EGR valve have been replaced. The car has been used as a daily driver, but driven relatively sparingly since the owner has another car for work. The Saab is in very fine condition and has held up unusually well against rust. There are, however, some minor flaws, including scratches and damage to the rear bumper. The fuel-operated heater does not work, but the car has been fitted with both an engine heater and a cabin heater. Included with the car are a full service book, owner's manual, two keys, and a set of studless winter tires, see photos.

Facts about the model
Generation 1 of the new 9-3 model, manufactured 1998-2003, was thus primarily a facelift of the earlier 900 model. With Generation 2 and the 2003 model year, a bit more happened. The earlier combi coupe disappeared and in its place a sedan was launched, or in Saab speak, a SportSedan. The following year a new Convertible arrived. These models were entirely new and were built on the GM Epsilon platform, related to, among others, the Opel Vectra and Cadillac BLS. As usual, the Saab models ranged from budget versions to hot Aero versions.
For the 2006 model year, a long-awaited station wagon arrived, and since this was Saab, it was naturally called the SportCombi. That year also saw a new 2.8-Liter V6 engine. When that engine was launched, it was named Engine of the Year. It was an engine that was a GM project, where it had first ended up in Buick and Cadillac models; the engine was then called the LP1. However, when the Swedish engineers were brought in – who, after all, had many years of experience in successful turbo development and manufacturing – the engine was developed even further, and the new engine was given the designation LP9. It came to be manufactured by Holden in Australia, but the turbo unit came from Saab and Sweden. The engine was considered very potent and reliable. It produced 250 hp at 5500 rpm. For the 2008-09 model years, an additional 30 hp was added in the top versions of the 9-3 model with the LP9 engine.
Saab came to produce various special versions, and a Saab 9-3 X XWD was launched in 2008 and built in a small run of 2,081 cars; the plan was an even 2,000 but a few more were made. It was available both as a SportSedan and SportCombi, manual or automatic. A united corps of motoring journalists gave the car top marks, and many felt the model was the ultimate road and driving machine from Saab.
Well, December 19, 2011, was a black day in Swedish motoring and automotive history: Saab Automobile went bankrupt. The model on the production line at the time was the new 9-5. GM owned the license rights, which meant there would be no further production.
The bankruptcy estate was taken over in the summer of 2012 by National Electric Vehicle Sweden, abbreviated Nevs. The rights to the Saab 9-3, however, were included. After the factories had stood idle for just over two years, Nevs resumed production of precisely the 9-3 model. There was only one model series, the Saab 9-3 Aero Turbo.
