Description
This car is being sold because the owner is getting too old. For the past 29 years, it has been parked at a collection outside of Nybro. I haven't driven much in the last 15 years. It has now undergone a start-up service and has been inspected/MOT and approved. It runs smoothly and performs as expected. However, we have not performed any major services, which they will delegate to the next owner. The hardtop is included, and it is disassembled for repainting. look at the pictures We don't know if this car has always been red. Given that the hardtop is white, we think its change colour?

Mechanical condition
It has just been inspected/MOTed and is ready to go. It needs good service because it has been parked for a long period. There was no documentation at the time of the photograph. A completely new battery.

Interior condition
Both front seats have a crack in the leather, as seen in the photos, but they are generally fine and look much better after a refurbishment on the inside.

Exterior condition
Nice paint and bodywork. The rear tires are beginning to wear but have passed inspection, so there is only around 2.5 mm left. The car is "tectyled" treated in all beams and underbody. There is no rust or blisters. Unusually attractive body.

A stylish car that is also a lovely classic. Only the upholstery on the front seats needs to be repaired and serviced properly.

Facts about the model
Mercedes-Benz R107 är en gran turismo, tillverkad av den tyska biltillverkaren Mercedes-Benz mellan 1971 och 1989. 350 SL presenterades i Genève i april 1971. Den konstruerades vid en tidpunkt då skärpta säkerhetskrav från de amerikanska myndigheterna förväntades ta död på den öppna bilen. Men Mercedes konstruktörer byggde en så kraftig vagn att den klarade lagkraven. Bilen kallades internt "Der Panzerwagen" på grund av den kraftiga konstruktionen. Medaljens baksida var den höga vikten och det krävdes numera en V8-motor för att uppnå företrädaren 280 SL:s prestanda. I mars 1973 introducerades USA-motorn på den europeiska marknaden i 450 SL. Anledningen var ökade avgasreningskrav även här och Mercedes motorer hörde till dem som tappade mest effekt när de utrustades med dåtidens reningsteknik. I oljekrisens spår kom den sexcylindriga 280 SL i juli 1974. I mars 1980 introducerades nya V8:or från den nya S-klassen och i september 1985 gjordes den sista uppdateringen av Mercedes allra äldsta modell där bland annat 280 SL ersattes med 300 SL som fick en treliters sexcylindrig motor från den nya motorfamiljen M103. I övrigt gjordes ett antal tekniska chassieuppgraderingar som bland annat innebar 15" hjul och större bromsar. 107:an pensionerades slutligen 1989 efter en produktionscykel på 18 år och 237 287 stycken tillverkade bilar. - At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. - During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
