Volvo 262 Bertone Coupé V6 — 1980

Design for the USA market was hard to sell in Sweden, Really expensive nearly double the price of a regular 240 back then. Now it’s a hot collector's car.

"Nice example of the last year’s model in good condition both on the outside and inside. Drives well and is well serviced, driven almost 200,000 km, not much for a Volvo, still feels fresh."

The car came back Sweden from the USA in 1989 and was commissioned in 1990. Driven around in central Sweden with only four actual users since new. Good condition in the bodywork, paint and interior. Non-renovated but has an older repaint and looks like it’s only driven half of it current mileage. Look at the pictures and enjoy its nice condition and all the beautiful and unusual Volvo and Bertone features. Nice color combination with solid black paint and beige leather upholstery.
Just one of this black 262 Coupé was sold two years ago by a Swiss auction house for just over 800.000 SEK. The reason for this was that the car belonged to the famous pop artist David Bowie, then new and was actually Bowie's most favorite car. Fun combination of crazy and talented music artist who privately liked safe Volvo design with Italian luxury and flair

Facts about the model
