Description
The current owner was looking for a fine example of this model and had a friend in the USA assist him.
His friend found this particular model and the owner immediately decided to buy it. The car was shipped to Sweden where it underwent a thorough service and technical inspection. It was driven sparingly during the summer to various car meets.
One day, after parking it at a supermarket, he was dismayed to find that someone had scratched the entire car and written offensive words on it.
The car was driven home, all trim and emblems were removed, and it was then taken to a skilled painter who repainted it in its original color.
The car is well-equipped with AC, tinted windows, AM/FM radio, front/rear seat belts, 3-speed wipers, and more.
The R/T (Road & Track) originally comes with stiffer suspension, shock absorbers, and sway bars.

Facts about the model
The Dodge Challenger was available with a wide range of engines. The most powerful was the 426 Hemi. Another high-performance option was the 440 Six-Pack.
In 1970, a total of 76,935 units were manufactured. Of these, 356 were 426 Hemi (425hp), 2,035 were 440 Six-Pack (390hp), 3,840 were 440 (375hp), and 12,281 were 383 (with various horsepower options). This year also saw the production of the Challenger with the T/A package (Trans Am Racing Series) with the 340 Sixpack (290hp). The car featured, among other things, a rear spoiler, a fiberglass hood with air intake, and a 340 engine with 3 two-barrel carburetors similar to the 440 six-pack. Other optional packages for the 1970 Challenger include R/T (Road & Track) and SE (Special Edition). The R/T package and SE package could be combined. R/T was a performance package with sturdier components, and only the high-performance engines 426 Hemi / 440 Sixpack / 440 Magnum could be ordered with the R/T package. The SE package offered a more lavish interior, extra chrome trim around the doors, and a smaller rear window.
1971 is the last model year in which the convertible version was produced. It is also the last model year available with the big block engine. Appearance-wise, it resembles the previous model year but can be recognized by its split grille.
