Description
The current owner acquired this Volvo in January 2021 from a car dealership. According to reports, the car had been sitting in a garage with a previous owner who didn't quite have the time for it. The current owner purchased the Volvo as a small project but also wanted a car she could use for outings during the summer and for shorter trips to events and friends. The car has received a new exhaust system from the catalytic converter backward, new brake pads, new front brake shields, and a new left rear brake caliper. The Volvo is equipped with a sunroof and has not been driven extensively, with the odometer reading a mere 71 000 km.

Mechanical condition
The engine and transmission work well, with a smooth engine operation, distinct gear shifts, and even braking. It has Continental tires with good tread depth mounted on aluminum rims.

Interior condition
The interior is in good condition, except for the headliner, which is sagging and held up with pins. It appears that the sunroof may have leaked, resulting in moisture stains, as seen in the pictures. There are a couple of small cracks in the dashboard, as shown in the images. The upholstery on the seats and the floor mats are clean and intact.

Exterior condition
he original paint is in good condition. The body is in very good shape, and at the time of photography, no dents or door dings were observed. Additionally, it has managed to stay largely rust-free.

A well-maintained 740 that can be used in this excellent condition. Considering the low mileage, this Volvo has many more miles to offer.

Facts about the model
Most of us have at some point owned, driven, ridden in, or have memories of a Volvo 740, a true Swedish classic. The new 700 series was launched in 1982, initially as a six-cylinder premium car. In 1984, the four-cylinder version, the Volvo 740, was introduced. The first model was the GLE version with fuel injection and 129 hp. Following that was the true volume model, the GL, with a carburetor and 112 hp.
In the 1988 model year, there were various equipment versions, and a GLT 16 Valve with higher power was introduced. The regular GLE version had 131 hp and featured an equipment package with extended chrome, aluminum wheels, plush upholstery, central locking, and more. After years of hectic family life and hard work in professional traffic, the population of these workhorses is now rapidly declining. For those that have been cared for and survived, a new era begins as a collector's car.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
