"Every Volvo enthusiast and collector will want to buy this car because it is in absolute top condition and has been owned by Sweden's most renown 140 renovators. It is best described as better than new condition."

Description

When Volvo began serial production of the 145 in the fall of 1967, they had spent the spring conducting various time studies on the new assembly line, such as where the pallet with parts should be, how long the assembler should take, and so on. This study yielded 30 145s, all of which were designated as "Test cars," with body and chassis numbers ranging from T1 to T30. The majority of these cars were used for crash and strength tests, with only a few released to various Volvo subcontractors to test and try out new and refined model series parts.

This car was taken to Bahco for engine heater and fuel heater testing. When the tests were completed in 1972, the car was most likely used as a company car until 1978. The car was then sold by Volvo Upplands Motor. In connection with this, the engine was replaced with a brand-new B18B, which is why I have yet to receive an answer to. A woman from Kalmar purchased the car for her brother, who lives in Värnamo and has used it for many years. A man from Jönköping purchases the car in 1991 and uses it as a daily driver.

The car was parked in 2001 and has not been used since. We met the owner at a vintage car meet in Aneby in the summer of 2016 and began talking about the Volvo 140 model. That following weekend we bought the car. The car was completely renovated in the autumn/winter of 2016/2017.The only rust was in the floor, spare wheels pods, and transmission tunnel wall and everything has been repaired. The front plate and wings have been replaced with original Volvo panels. Completely repainted in the original colour code 97. (light yellow). A new NOS "new old stock" interior in the original colour has been fitted. Today, only 5 of the 145 T cars remain on the register; the other four (T2, T5, T17, and T27) were last inspected in the 1980s and their condition is unknown to me.
