"The owner rebuilt this car over the summer, utilizing a trusted network of specialists to ensure top-quality work. It’s powered by a 1620cc Crossflow engine producing approximately 130 hp, delivering more power than a standard Lotus Cortina at a fraction of the cost. The engine starts easily, runs smoothly, and provides lively performance, though it will need final adjustments and a proper run-in after another 200-300 km. While driving, the only minor observation is a slight vibration in the gear lever around 3600 rpm, which resolves itself by 3800 rpm. The gearbox shifts perfectly with no issues. The car is inspection-exempt forever and ready to drive home today."

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car has undergone a full rebuild, including the engine, gearbox, and numerous other components. It has only been driven approximately 60 km since the rebuild and will require another 200-300 km for proper run-in, followed by minor adjustments.

It’s a joy to drive, with tight and responsive road handling. The only note is a slight vibration on the gear lever that will need reviewing, though the gearbox itself operates flawlessly. The heater fan system is not currently installed but is included in the boot along with a few additional parts.

  • Interior condition:

Interior is exceptionally clean and tidy, featuring new front bucket seats, well-preserved rear seats, and newer carpets. It also includes custom aluminum door cards and panels. The dashboard and gauges are fully functional, complemented by custom-fitted switches for the fuel pump, lights, wipers, and more. Despite being built for racing, the car retains an original feel and character.

  • Exterior condition:

Bodywork is straight and solid, with well-fitted panels and a clean underbody. The paint is in good condition with a nice white finish, and new chrome bumpers have been fitted. There is a small rust blister under the front headlight, likely caused by a stone chip, but overall, the body remains in a very good shape.

  • General condition:

This is the perfect car for anyone seeking a well-built, easy-to-maintain classic Ford that can be enjoyed on both the street and the track. It offers a great alternative to a Lotus Cortina, delivering similar performance at a fraction of the cost.
