Mechanical condition
With a 174 hp engine in such a small and relatively light car, this is a very fun vehicle to drive. This particular example performs exactly as a Mini should. When it was almost new, in 2009, it received a completely brand-new engine through the insurance. The engine currently in the car has therefore run just over 80,000 km. Another major mechanical repair took place the following year when the gearbox was replaced. Both of these repairs are documented in the owner’s car file, and the paperwork is included with the sale.
The fact that both repairs were done so long ago shows that the car is now running well. During the test drive, there was nothing to remark upon regarding its technical functionality. All electrical functions that were tested worked properly. The car is equipped with a heated windshield but does not have AC. It has recently passed inspection and was approved, with a note regarding rust in the engine frame.
The owner has recently replaced the right shock absorber and the upper bearing on the right front side. The car is currently fitted with studded winter tires with good tread depth. The summer tires have 5 mm of tread left on two of the tires and 2–3 mm on the other two, and should therefore be replaced for the next season. -
Interior condition
The interior is in good condition, featuring original rubber accessory floor mats. The driver’s seat shows only minor wear on the left side of the backrest. There are just a few small scratches on the plastic trim and steering wheel, and overall, the interior gives a very fresh impression.

Exterior condition
The paint and body are in good condition, with only a few minor scratches. There is some paint damage on the rear panel and rear bumper, as well as a small blemish on the roof visible in the photos. The hood has a few stone chips, and the grille has been secured more firmly with duct tape. Stylish 17-inch aftermarket wheels are currently fitted, and a set of 16-inch original Mini alloy wheels with studded winter tires is included. The headlight washer for the right headlight, which is missing in the photos, has now been installed.

General condition
A very well-maintained and well-functioning Mini of the most desirable version — the Cooper S — in an attractive color combination and with sporty wheels. The fact that the current owner has cared for the car meticulously and owned it for many years is a strong indication that this is a fine example.

Facts about the model
The Cooper version was soon joined by the entry-level Mini One and the more powerful, supercharged Cooper S, known internally as the R53. The New Mini became a major success, and within five years, 700,000 units had been produced at the Oxford plant in the UK.
At the Paris Motor Show in the fall of 2006, a new generation Mini Cooper S debuted, internally coded R56. Its exterior dimensions had grown slightly, partly to meet pedestrian safety regulations. The new Cooper S no longer used a supercharger but a turbo instead. The engine was developed in cooperation with the PSA Group but, like the rest of the car, was manufactured in the UK. Production of the Mini Cooper S R56 continued until November 2013, when it was replaced by a new generation.
