Description
Registered on 26 August 1969, with Bogesunds Väveri in Ulricehamn listed as the first owner according to the service book. They likely kept the car until around 1980, when a new owner transferred it on 30 October 1981 to Mr Lidner in Norrköping. Mr Lycke purchased the car on 16 June 1982 and has owned it ever since.
The odometer currently shows 43,260 km, but as the car has been sparingly used by Mr Lycke, the true mileage is estimated to be around 145,000 km. The car has been stored for a long time in a dry facility.
It is equipped with a 2.8-litre six-cylinder carbureted engine producing 140 DIN horsepower, paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. The car is white with a brown textile interior. It also features an aftermarket sunroof, though fitted in original style.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The engine was started using starting fluid and then continued to run on regular petrol. We managed to drive it up and down the road — the gearbox shifts, and the brakes partly function. It was also noted that the carburetor linkage was not correctly connected. The engine was run until it reached normal operating temperature, and the oil pressure appeared good at that stage. However, a full service and inspection of both the engine and braking system will be required. The car was last inspected in 1993.
-
Interior condition
Interior is in good condition overall. The fabric on the driver’s seat is worn but without any holes, while the rest of the seats are in good condition with only a few small marks. The headrests are mismatched in color, and the rear driver’s seat cover needs to be refitted. The trim on the B-pillars was not installed but is included in the luggage compartment. The carpets and door cards are in good condition all around, and the headliner is complete, though it fits a bit loosely around the rear window. The dashboard, gauges, and steering wheel are all in good condition. The sunroof is slightly open and not functioning, likely due to a blown fuse or a faulty switch
-
Exterior condition
The body and paintwork are in good condition, with some signs of older repainting in places. No rust damage or dents were found, though minor imperfections may be present. The car has not been inspected on a lift, but the panel gaps on the doors and hoods are satisfactory. Some side sill trim pieces are missing but included along with many other parts (see pictures). Chrome components, such as the bumpers, are complete and in good condition.

General condition
For any enthusiast — especially a Mercedes fan — this car will be easy to get back on the road. It’s offered at a very realistic market price, making it a great opportunity for someone looking for a classic project. Happy bidding!
