Volvo 262C Bertone Coupé V6 — 1980

The world's only factory-produced chopped car. Volvo consumers in the United States believed it was a cool car. In Sweden, it's difficult to sell. At the time, it was twice the price of a standard 240. Now its a hot collector car.

"Nice car from the last year model with the updated rear end. Both the outside and the inside are in good condition. It drives well and is highly serviced. Driven around 290,0000 km, which is not a lot for a Volvo."

"Nice car from the last year model with the updated rear end. Both the outside and the inside are in good condition. It drives well and is highly serviced. Driven around 290,0000 km, which is not a lot for a Volvo."

Description

The car was repatriated to Sweden from the United States in 1989 and put to service in 1990. Since its beginning, it has rolled round central Sweden with only six genuine users. Body, paint, and interior are all in good condition. It is not restored, but it has older paint. Examine the photos to appreciate the excellent condition and all of the stunning and rare Volvo and Bertone elements. With solid black paint and beige leather upholstery, this is a nice color combination. A similar hot black 262 Coupé was auctioned off three years ago by a Swiss auction house for little over SEK 800,000. The reason for this was because the car was brand new at the time and belonged to the famed pop artist David Bowie. In fact, it was David Bowie's favorite car.

Facts about the model
