This car was sold new in Sweden and according to previous owners it is said was a taxi in Köping and Kungsör back in the days. The car resurfaced in the eighties when a man with the imaginative surname Lillsebba renovated it to the condition it is today.

Mechanical condition
The engine is actually basically the same little side valve motor that sat in the early Willys Jeep. A four cylinder 2.2 liters with 30 hp, the return spring on the gas pedal needs to be replaced or adjusted for easier driving.

Interior condition
The interior is clean and nice and held up well after its renovation. Despite the small back seat, four people can happily ride in the car.

The green two-tone paint looks good and has stood up well over the years. The door fit well but could be adjusted to be perfect.

Facts about the model
Willys är mest känd för sin för amerikanska armén utvecklade Jeep, en avrumärke personbilsmärke Overland kom redan 1926 med sin Whippet, en hård konkurrent till Ford T och A, Chevrolet International, De Soto Model K och Pontiac Big Six. Whippet var en för sin tid lätt, snabb, ekonomisk och slitstark bil med en fyrcylindrig sidventilsmotor på 31 hästar och ett vrid påp 122 Nm. Ballongdäck, bromsar på alla fyra hjulen, centralsmörjning och vattenpump var andra moderna finesser. Karossen var kompakt, men rymlig. Med en hjulbas på strax över 100 tum så var den aningen större än Fords allt mer ålderdomliga T-modell och Whippet kom snabbt upp i hundra tusen tillverkade exemplar. Till årsmodell 1927 blev Whippet ett eget märke, men det blev kortlivat. Depressionen var i full gång och försäljningen tappade snabbt farten och märket lades ner redan 1931.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
