Description
This car was produced on a spring day in the last year of production in France, April 17, 1987, at Citroën's classic Levallois factory in central Paris. The car was then bought from the Belgian general agent and imported new to Sweden by a Stenungsund company called Club 800. Through them, many factory new 2CV's were imported into Sweden from various spot markets in Europe. This is rust proofed as new and has fared very well from rust. Not only because of the rust protection, but mainly thanks to a careful and caring first owner who never drove in the winter and always kept the car in a warm garage.
The current owner bought it spontaneously in 2000 from his friend's first owner and has since only driven a few hundred miles. It was inspected in Oskarshamn in 2006, but that is basically what has happened to the car including a transport drive down from Stockholm to Kalmar in 2000. Among the documentation is a captivating and carefully kept driving journal from 1987, where a full tank was noted at the new delivery in Stenungsund on June 26, to the last listing in August 1999.

After the downtime, the car has had its brake calipers refurbished, the clutch adjusted, a new battery, the charging relay checked and it comes with an approved inspection.

The interior is nice condition and seats upholstery is unworn original, with some minor marks on the rear seat.

It has fine and untouched original paintwork. The roll back roof is also untouched and in a good and supple condition.

General condition
Having had several 2CVs, and if I would like to find a pristine low-mileage Charleston to take care of and use in the future, this specimen has just all the characteristics, condition and history to be desired.

Facts about the model
En Charleston i Rouge Delage/Noir är den klassiska färgställningen på modellen som inspirerades av tjugotalets Art Deco-färger. Senare följde även färgkombinationerna med vackra namn som Gris Cormoran/Gris Nocturne (grå/grå) och Noir/Jaune Hélios (svart/gul).

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
