Description
The motorcycle is an Örnen Victoria model 354, 1954 model year. The motorcycle was purchased new by forestry worker Ögren, residing in Lomselenäs in Sorsele parish. Ögren was 40 years old when he bought his motorcycle. Four years later it was acquired by a younger forestry worker colleague, Mr. Norberg, who was 27 years old at the time. The last entry on the certified copy of the registration certificate shows that the last registered owner used the motorcycle until 1963.
We do not know when the motorcycle was deregistered, but it was in any case done before the state introduced the central vehicle registry in 1973. The motorcycle still has the old county registration number AC 4767. A certified copy of the old registration certificate is included. The buyer will therefore need to apply for an origin check (ursprungskontroll) with the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen), and once that is approved, the motorcycle must then undergo a registration inspection at an inspection station.
This is a distance auction. The photographs were taken by an independent photographer, and information about the vehicle and its technical condition, to the extent such information was available, has been obtained from the estate administrator. BWA has therefore not inspected the vehicle on site at the seller's location.

Facts about the model
In 1896, AB Johan Hedbergs maskinaffär was founded in Malmö. Initially, the business focused on the sale and repair of imported bicycles.
In 1900, Hedberg launched his very own bicycle design under the name Örnen. The frames were welded and manufactured in Sweden, while the high-quality hubs and components were imported from England and Germany. The bicycles quickly became known for their robust quality and sold very well. As early as around 1902, the company began experimenting with motorized two-wheelers. During the 1950s, Sweden experienced an enormous boom in mopeds and lightweight motorcycles. Örnen built its own sturdy frames, but like many other Swedish manufacturers, they sourced engines from external suppliers. Among others, they used German engines from Victoria. Around 1954–1955, AB Johan Hedberg in Malmö purchased powerful 250cc Victoria engines and mounted them in their own Swedish-built reinforced frames. These models were designated 354 and 375. The engine is an air-cooled two-stroke producing somewhere between 10 and 14 horsepower. Although the engine has only one cylinder, it features dual exhaust ports. This explains why the engine has two separate exhaust pipes running along both sides of the motorcycle, giving it a very distinctive and symmetrical appearance. Production and sales of Örnen mopeds and motorcycles gradually ceased around 1958–1959. Örnen bicycles, however, continued to be sold on a smaller scale into the 1960s. The company AB John Hedbergs maskinaffär was wound down and ceased operations by the end of the 1960s. The company was located at Drottningtorget 10 in Malmö. The buildings housing the factory and warehouse at Drottningtorget were demolished in the late 1960s when operations ended. Today, the well-known parking garage Anna stands on the site where the Örnen bicycles and motorcycles were once assembled
